Home server is up and running again! \o/ Finally got around to approve all the pending comments that had stacked up in the meantime. As always, thanks for your support and patience!
My room is still packed in boxes, lots of work to do around the new house. I aim to have my development workstation running by the weekend so I can continue work on the sd2snes firmware. See you around. 😉

Congrats! Enjoy your new home.

Great, be brave and have fun on tetris :p
Thanks Ikari for your support on the sd2snes firmware 🙂

Great Ikari, enjoy your new home 🙂

A new house is such an exciting experience – especially with a wife/girlfriend and kid! Enjoy! And thanks a bunch for the update!

Good to hear you’re feeling better. Keep up the great work!

Nice having some news ^^
After seeing your MMX3 MSU-1 tweet I proceeded to try it out and found an oddity.
It turns out for MSU-1 games to work on SD2SNES, an empty / 0byte file ending by .msu is needed (in this case mmx3_msu1.msu) in the game folder.
Because it wasn’t provided with the official patch, the game didn’t work and had me wondering what was going on XD
Why is this empty file needed at all? For the other MSU-1 games it’s always empty as well..

The .msu datafile serves as an indicator for the sd2snes to enable the MSU1 extension. If it’s not present MSU1 will not be enabled. sd2snes does not care about any xml/bml… “specialties”. 😉

But of course! makes sense now, thanks 😉

Sounds good, can’t wait! Fingers still crossed for save states and cheats! 😉

asked earlier and got no answer, Blackthorne is running fine? for me not …

Great to hear that you moving was successful.
We also moved last year an it brings alot of hassle/consumes alot of time.

Also good to hear your workstation for the sd2snes will be up and running again.
For me it does not count how much time it takes. But every time i check this site and see a new post im always excited to read about new features.

Thanks alot for making all this possible. Our SNES has a prominent place in our livingroom thanks to your work.

@Leonardo

Blackthorne runs perfectly on my snes+sd2snes. Try a different rom copy, maybe the file is corrupt.

@leonardo,

Blackthore runs perfectly on my set.

Try a different rom file maybe your file is corrupt.

Good to hear the news ikari, and the fact you’re feeling better! 😀

This might be aimed at TSR, but does anyone know what if the MSU1 hack of Super Mario World was posted? I remember on YouTube someone showing off the MSU1 on real hardware + SD2SNES, and the audio was crystal clear… as much as YouTube would allow anyway. I was wondering if that was ever made available for SD2SNES owners to show off or just a “Oh lookie I can do this, no touchy” move.

I was wondering about MSU-1 as it goes, I have various (awesome) music hacks that I play and between tracks there is an audible glitch sometimes, is that something that I’m doing wrong or a bug to be squashed?

By the way, is there a place where I can get an updated list of MSU1 games ? So far I check romhacking.net, but I suppose it’s not an exhaustive list.

Try to download gsmes and trailers from my MSU-1 collection: http://tv-games.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=5508

Greetings and welcome back!

HTTPS should be misconfigured on your server part, since it asks me to identify myself via certificate whenever I visit your page!

Wow, the update was really awesome (except a few games aren’t working… but I am sure you have already fixed that!) because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ability to change games without even getting off the couch. My lazy Sunday playing SNES games for hours on end awaits! 😉

Please, fix the game “The Lion King”

We love you, ikari.

The new pre3-newtiming and pre3-dmainit folders you have posted can it be used with the other pre3 zip files, just cut and paste to SD2SNES folder?

Please excuse my ignorance as I really don’t understand much about whats going on, I’m more of an end user.

Thank you

Has anyone had issues with saving games on Breath of Fire 2? Im using 1.6 firmware and tried to load an srm from 2 different rom versions and cant get my saved game to load.

You rock Ikari! Thanks for all your work on this awesome flash cart.

how about another preview update, Ikari? I am all for it. The waiting hurts.

Anything new ikari?
