{"id":833,"date":"2017-05-06T03:03:56","date_gmt":"2017-05-06T01:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sd2snes.de\/blog\/?p=833"},"modified":"2017-06-30T12:13:23","modified_gmt":"2017-06-30T10:13:23","slug":"firmware-v0-1-7e-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd2snes.de\/blog\/archives\/833","title":{"rendered":"Firmware v0.1.7e released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Firmware 0.1.7e is out. <a href=\"https:\/\/sd2snes.de\/blog\/downloads\">Download here!<\/a> This is mainly a long overdue maintenance release.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s new:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed a long standing critical DAC timing quirk causing audio distortion with MSU1 on any revision except Rev.G<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a clock glitch on SD card access from FPGA that could lead to audio\/video distortion with MSU1<\/li>\n<li>Properly map SRAM to Banks f0-ff instead of f0-fb in Mode 20 (&#8220;LoROM&#8221;) memory map<\/li>\n<li>Added support for headered bsxbios.bin too<\/li>\n<li>Slight SD card read performance optimization for MSU1 (avoid unaligned reads)<\/li>\n<li>Change initial SRAM fill value (courtesy of devinacker) &#8211; fixes Ken Griffey Jr., Ou-Chan, and possibly other games that don&#8217;t perform a proper SRAM content sanity check<\/li>\n<li>Always start game on PPU2 field 0.
